Prince William’s major vow to Kate Middleton’s parents Revealed as she recovers from…
Kate Middleton is currently recovering from the abdominal surgery that she underwent last week but she can definitely count on her devoted husband Prince William to be by her side.
The Prince of Wales has been spotted visiting his wife during her stay at The London Clinic where she had a successful operation last week, with the future Queen expected to not return to her royal duties until after Easter.
However, the procedure was serious enough for William to also be postponing his official duties too while Kate is in hospital and in the immediate aftermath, the Mirror reports.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary but have been together as a couple for more than 20 years after they first met as students at St Andrews University.
William and Kate had hugely different upbringings with William being born into royalty while Kate enjoyed a relatively normal middle-class childhood.
When the Prince of Wales popped the big question to her during a romantic trip to Kenya, Kate would have known her life was about to change in more than one way.
To prove his undying love for his future wife, William is said to have made a personal vow to Kate’s parents Carole and Michael that he would always take care of her.
According to the Daily Mail’s royal correspondent Rebecca English: “He, more than anyone, knew the personal sacrifices she was making to be with the man she loved.”
Referring to Kate’s current health struggle, she added: “It’s why I know he will bend heaven and earth to be at her side now and do the best for their little family. However long it takes.”
William is stepping back from his own official duties for several weeks and will need to juggle looking after his three kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis while also caring for his wife.
The Wales family currently live in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor’s Home Park and will also be supported by their staff, including loyal, long-standing nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.
Kate’s parents and siblings Pippa Matthews and James Middleton are also expected to be helping out with anything the couple need in the next few months as the mum-of-three recovers.
King Charles is also due to be in hospital this week for corrective treatment for his benign condition.
However, with the monarch out of action, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales for the immediate future, Charles’ slimmed down monarchy has been put under major pressure in a way not seen before during his reign.
Queen Camilla is still carrying out her engagements, joining the Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra as the current working members of the Firm – with the latter two looking increasingly frail in recent years.
The monarchy is currently looking rather old with all of them being in their 70s and 80s bar Prince Edward, who turns 60 in March, and Sophie, who celebrates her 59th birthday on Saturday.
The Firm has slimmed down in recent years after disgraced Prince Andrew was forced to step down from his royal duties and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their exit in 2020.
