People often point out how similar they look to members of the royal family, including their historical ancestors, but living relatives are also often compared to one another.
After the late Diana, Princess of Wales’s niece, Lady Kitty Spencer, shared a throwback photo of herself from 1992, royal fans instantly commented how much Princess Charlotte looked “exactly like” her.
Lady Kitty Spencer once took to Instagram in 2019 to share an adorable throwback picture of her riding a horse with the caption, “Lexus Melbourne Cup here we come!! Channeling my inner jockey since 1992.
In the photo, a young Kitty sits fearlessly on a white horse while dressed in full equestrian gear, complete with black riding boots and a helmet.
One fan wrote: “OMG!!! How similar Princess Charlotte is to you.”
Another was also in disbelief: “You look just like Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Lady Kitty Spencer is the eldest child of Earl Spencer and Victoria Aitken. She was born in London on December 28, 1990, and was raised between South Africa and England. She is also the first cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Despite having a 25-year age difference, fans agreed they looked alike. One user also wrote “Little Princess Charlotte resembles you!” Another agreed: “Princess Charlotte is a little Lady Kitty Spencer”.
This isn’t the first time the relatives have been compared to each other. In November 2018, the 28-year-old shared a black and white photo of herself on her first day of school, and royal watchers couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance between the two.
However, with the three children of the Prince and Princess of Wales growing up so fast, their features appear to change almost yearly.
Princess Charlotte also resembles her dad, something Prince William has commented on in the past.
During a visit to Bradford in 2020, the Prince and Princess of Wales examined a cake which was designed by Siami Ali, when Prince William noticed something “incredible”, and was stunned at his resemblance to Princess Charlotte.
The likeness was so strong that William did a double take. He quipped to Kate, “Is that me? Doesn’t it look like Charlotte?”
Kate then came in for a closer look and agreed, saying: “It looks so much like Charlotte.” William then repeated his previous statement, adding: “Is that me? That looks just like Charlotte. That’s incredible, I haven’t seen that before. Very alike in similarity.
