Sarah Ferguson speaks of ‘reflection’ in a statement without Prince Andrew
The Duchess of York, 65, posted a Christmas message to Instagram on December 24 of herself and corgis Muick and Sandy, who she adopted from the late Queen Elizabeth after the monarch’s death on September 8, 2022.
Fergie spoke of reflection and joy in the video which appeared to be filmed on the Windsor Estate of Royal Lodge, where the Duchess resides with her former husband, Prince Andrew
It follows the Duchess of York and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, staying away from King Charles and the Royal Family on Wednesday in Sandringham.
Fergie, 65, is understood to be the person who convinced her ex-husband to remain at Royal Lodge during Christmas, following his scandal over his links to an alleged Chinese spy.
She said: “It’s a time of reflection and I just want to say thank you.”
“And a huge embrace of goodness to, and kindness to those of you who have been so kind and so supportive.”
“People all over the world that are feeling a little bit low or sad, just take some joy and bubbles from us, here.
“We’re sending you so much love, and you must just keep showing light, turning to the light, finding the joy and saying thank you.
She added: “I really just think that’s so important.”
She concluded her message by thanking her 755,000 followers.
Despite separating in 1992 and divorcing in 1996, Sarah and Andrew continue to cohabitate at Royal Lodge in Windsor.
Earlier this month, it was revealed in a High Court hearing that alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo, who was banned from the UK, was said to have been a “close” confidant of Andrew.
Yang, who was named after an anonymity order was lifted, has insisted it was “entirely untrue” to claim he was involved in espionage and that he has “done nothing wrong or unlawful”.
Yang is said to have entered Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace and Windsor Castle at Andrew’s invitation.
The duke’s office said Andrew “ceased all contact” with the then-unnamed businessman when concerns were first raised about him.
Andrew met Yang through “official channels” with “nothing of a sensitive nature ever discussed”, a statement said.
