Pippa Middleton makes subtle change in pivot away from Princess Kate’s…
Pippa Middleton unveiled a striking new hairstyle at the Together at Christmas Carol Service on Friday evening, marking a notable departure from her sister Princess Kate’s signature look.
The mother-of-three attended the festive event at Westminster Abbey, which was hosted by the Princess of Wales
Sporting a chic Karen Millen dress paired with festive red velvet heels, Pippa’s most noticeable change was her newly trimmed hair.
The transformation represents a significant shift from the long, immaculately blow-dried style she typically shared with her royal sister.
The event drew several Royal Family members, including Prince William and his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as well as Zara Tindall and the Duchess of Edinburgh.
Pippa’s new cut falls just to her collarbone, marking the shortest length she has worn in years, whilst also appearing notably darker in tone.
This transformation is particularly striking when compared to her last public appearance at Wimbledon in July, where she accompanied Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte to the men’s singles.
During that summer outing, Pippa wore her then-longer hair in a half-up, half-down style with subtle plaiting, showcasing chestnut brown locks with blonde highlights.
The change is especially notable as both Middleton sisters have long been known for their similar flowing, long hairstyles.
Princess Kate has largely maintained her signature long locks throughout the years, only briefly experimenting with a longer bob style in 2020.
The shift towards shorter hair aligns with current hair trends, according to industry experts.
Paul Windle, renowned hairdresser and founder of Windle LAB, told HELLO!: “Most of our stylish clients never gave up the Bob, it’s a classic.
He explained that the bob’s resurgence can be attributed to two key factors.
“People are getting over what I would call ‘casual Covid’ habits. They’re putting in more effort and time to look classically stylish with their clothes and the Bob is perfect for this,” Windle noted.
The expert added: “I also think people are tired of spending hours torturing their hair with heat to achieve a look, and many clients are wanting their hair to naturally be in beautiful condition.”
This trend towards more manageable, classic styles suggests Pippa’s new look is both fashionable and practical.
