Kate Middleton and Prince William have released a big statement amid reports King Charles is considering to make a historic announcement about his abdication.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will be the king and queen ‘much sooner than anyone imagined’, it is claimed.
Speaking to the In Touch Weekly, per OK!, the royal sources claimed, “The whispers that Charles is planning to step down are growing louder,” and the past few months have been “particularly rough.”
The insiders claimed, “Charles waited so long to become king, but at this point, no one could blame him for giving up the throne so he can live the last months of his life in peace.”
“Insiders expect a historic announcement to be made around Christmastime. So William and Kate will be king and queen much sooner than anyone imagined”, the report also claimed.
Amid these claims, the Kensington Palace released a video to highlight from last night’s St Albans community carol services with a statement.
The statement reads, “So lovely to see community carol services across the country helping to spread the messages of love and empathy that are central to the Christmas story and the Together at Christmas service from Westminster Abbey last Friday.”
