Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry reveals real reason he’ll never return to UK with Meghan

Prince Harry has addressed the real reason he wanted to stay in America with his wife and two children at an engagement on Wednesday.

While the Duke of Sussex, 40, attended the 2024 New York Times DealBook Summit yesterday, his wife Meghan was at an awards ceremony in California, marking yet another recent engagement where the couple have been spotted solo.

However, in a chat with reporters at the New York Times event yesterday, Prince Harry did not shy away from questions surrounding his marriage and family life.

Harry explained by living in the US they are afforded a level of privacy as well as a life of activities they “undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the UK” due to security concerns, as reported in the Mirror.

Harry took legal action against the Home Office over the February 2020 decision of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) that he should receive a different degree of taxpayer-funded protection when in the country, but the High Court rejected his case in February.

Harry’s initial bid to bring an appeal was refused after he lost a High Court challenge over the decision, but he can now take his case directly to the Court of Appeal.

Prince Harry responds to divorce rumours
Prince Harry broke his silence yesterday when he was questioned about whether there was any truth to the rumours of him and Meghan Markle separating.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, who married Meghan in 2018, attended the 2024 New York Times DealBook Summit yesterday alone.

At the event, the prince addressed rumours about his marriage to Meghan with an edge of sarcasm to his voice and jokingly said in a curt seven words: “We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times.”

Harry went on to squash rumours that he and his wife have moved house or are going their separate ways.

He said: “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”

Queen gives latest health update
Queen Camilla admitted she was still feeling “a bit tired” as she attended a reception to mark the 50th anniversary of Women’s Aid.

Her Majesty, 77, revealed on Tuesday that her chest infection was pneumonia, with doctors advising her to reduce her workload to safeguard her recovery.

She skipped the outside element of the Qatari state visit earlier in the week to avoid standing outside in chilly temperatures for a prolonged period of time, which could set her recovery back.

Sad’ reality of rift between Prince Harry and Royal Family revealed by expert
Prince Harry has experienced fractured relationships with certain members of the Royal Family over the last few years since his bombshell decision to quit life as a senior royal in 2020.

After he moved across the pond to California with his wife Meghan Markle, the Duke of Sussex did not hold back when it came to exposing what his life was really like as a working prince.

In both the Oprah Winfrey interview, the docuseries Harry and Meghan, and in his memoir Spare last year, Prince Harry was quick to criticise life in the Royal Family as he hurled accusations against certain relatives, particularly his brother Prince William.
