Princess Kate sends ‘secret message’ with ‘symbolic’ move during state visit

The Princess of Wales “weaved” a particular kind of “symbolic” message into her wardrobe as she made another grand appearance on Tuesday for the state visit of the Amir of Qatar in the UK, a style expert has claimed.

Princess Kate turned heads as she stepped out in London with the rest of the royals to welcome the Qatari royals
Kate wore a stunning all-burgundy ensemble consisting of a fitted burgundy coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen from the past season and a hat by Sahar Millinery.

To complete her look, Kate wore a burgundy bag by Chanel, a pair of Rhymes high-heeled boots by Gianvitto Rossi and a pair of burgundy gloves. For jewellery, she opted for the late Queen Elizabeth’s Bahrain pearl drop earrings and the four-row Japanese pearl choker.

Now a stylist has analysed the future Queen’s look and claimed she could be sending a very poignant message with her sartorial choice.

Megan Watkins, Head Stylist at SilkFred, told Express.co.uk: “Princess Kate is known for weaving symbolism into her wardrobe, and this look is no exception.

“Burgundy not only nods to current fashion trends but also holds significance as the national colour of Qatar, honouring her esteemed guests with subtle diplomacy.

“Her choice to wear the late Queen’s pearls is a beautiful tribute to her late Majesty, highlighting her efforts to continue and uphold royal traditions and her connection to the past.

“Additionally, wearing burgundy—an empowering and regal hue—may be a quiet celebration of her recovery and strength as she resumes her royal duties.

The Princess of Wales has only made a handful of appearances this year following her cancer diagnosis; however, back in autumn, she announced the completion of her preventative chemotherapy and her willingness to ease herself back into royal life.

Kate is expected to host her annual Together at Christmas Carol Service this Friday, while she is also to make an appearance with the rest of the royals on Christmas Day in Sandringham.

Ms Watkins added: “I can’t be the only one who can’t wait to see what sartorial elegance she’ll showcase later this week when she will be hosting the Together at Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.
