And it looks like Ellen DeGeneres is about to have a blast over there because apparently, she’s related to none other than Kate Middleton!

Ellen DeGeneres was at her Malibu home with her wife Portia De Rossi, when she got an unexpected letter from the New England Genealogical Society. And to her surprise, the letter revealed she’s actually the 15th cousin of Kate Middleton!
The family link goes all the way back to a common ancestor, Sir Thomas Fairfax, and his wife, Agnes Gascoigne (via The Ellen Show/ YouTube). During an interview about filming her show in England, DeGeneres couldn’t resist sharing this fun fact about her royal roots. She revealed (via Lorraine/ YouTube),
We have been waiting for so long, because we were on everything we were on China and for some reason weren’t on Great Britain so we launched this campaign that was very successful thank goodness, you know I don’t know if you know this by the way everyone in Great Britain should. Kate Middleton is my cousin and she really is, I am related to her.
And now by the looks of it, Ellen DeGeneres is packing up and choosing to move closer to her family, more particularly her 15th cousin, Kate Middleton! As she is heading to the UK for good.

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have officially swapped the sunny California lifestyle for the peaceful countryside of rural England. According to The Wrap, they’ve put their Montecito estate up for sale, with no plans to return to the U.S. anytime soon.
The couple’s move comes after the election of Donald Trump, which reportedly served as their tipping point for making the big leap. They’ve already settled in the picturesque Cotswolds, located in south-central England, and their Montecito mansion will soon be on the market.
While Ellen’s 2019 purchase of the sprawling property was a significant investment, it looks like their California days are now behind them. As for their other homes, it’s unclear what the future holds.
