Royal cold war: Princess Beatrice and Eugenie ‘draw up battle plan’ to help Prince Andrew keep…
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have reportedly “drawn up a battle plan” as they step up to help their father Prince Andrew amid an eviction threat from his beloved Royal Lodge.
The sisters, who are said to be “fuming” over the treatment of their father, are reportedly teaming up to support him – with talks taking place amongst the York family.
Sources have revealed that Beatrice and Eugenie have devised a “battle plan” to ensure the Duke keeps his Windsor home – where he has lived since the early 2000s.
A well-placed source told Express.co.uk: “The York family have held several meetings and drawn up a battle plan. They will not allow their family to fall or come up against any more negative press.”
Although Eugenie is also involved, the talks are reportedly being led by Beatrice. The source added: “It’s very much a charge led by Beatrice… She’s extremely loyal and has taken the reins.
The source added: “Beatrice and Eugenie are rallying around to help support their father.
Royal Lodge is viewed as a York family problem, not just an Andrew problem and the whole family are chipping in – that includes Sarah, Beatrice and Eugenie.”
This comes after reports that Andrew is refusing to move out of his 30-room home – and potentially downsize to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s former home, Frogmore Cottage. In a bid to evict his younger brother, King Charles reportedly axed an annual £2.9m payment Andrew used to pay his security guards at Royal Lodge.
Speaking to the Sun on Sunday, a source claimed that Andrew has reportedly worked out a way that he can gain cheaper security. He said: “He has his security but at a cheaper rate and he is managing to finance it himself.
