Can’t bear to loss her: Kate Middleton ‘leans back’ into William amid ‘new love’ behavior
The Princess of Wales appeared “thrilled” to resume her Royal duties and displayed her affection for the Prince of Wales, according to a body language expert. Kate Middleton 42, was spotted with a “rounded-cheek radiant smile and sparkling eye expression” as she attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall alongside Prince William and King Charles III.
The annual event, hosted by the Royal British Legion, pays tribute to the nation’s servicemen and women as well as those who have fallen in war. Body language expert Judi James suggests that Kate seemed “pleased to be back in her role as a royal” during her recent public appearance after recovering from cancer.
Her arrival with William revealed some striking body language signs of change for them as a couple,” Judi noted. “In the few steps it took to exit the car and greet their hosts, it was almost impossible to keep track of the affectionate touch rituals and glances exchanged between them.
Judi observed that the Royal couple appeared to be “driven to continuously touch each other, a behavior typically seen in couples newly in love”.
She elaborated: “William places an arm around Kate’s back and she reciprocates by leaning closer to him and wrapping a hand around his waist, indicating mutual support and affection.”, reports the Mirror.
William responds with three more touches or virtual hugs, almost as if he can’t bear to let go of Kate or take his hands off her, during one of her first public appearances since her return.”
Kate was glowing as she graced the event in a sophisticated black dress. This marks her first high-profile appearance in several weeks, following her recent completion of chemotherapy for cancer.
She is also set to attend the national commemoration at the Cenotaph on Sunday, marking her first back-to-back public engagements since the beginning of the year. As per tradition, Kate will observe from the balcony of the nearby Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, participating in the solemn two-minute silence and watching the veterans’ march past.
William recently opened up about how 2024 has been “brutal” and described it as the “hardest” year of his life. His father, the King, who is also undergoing cancer treatment, received applause as he sat next to Anne, the Princess Royal at Saturday’s event.
The event, which honors the sacrifices made by the British and Commonwealth armed forces community, features musical performances and personal testimonies. During the Festival, both William and Kate, adorned with poppies, applauded a performance by Sir Tom Jones, who sang ‘I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall’ with the central band of the Royal Air Force.
They also joined other Royal family members in standing ovation for Second World War veterans.
Anne’s spouse, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, along with the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, were present at the event. However, the Queen was noticeably absent from the Festival and will also not be attending the Cenotaph ceremony on Sunday due to her recovery from a chest infection.
