Prince George following in Prince William and Princess Kate’s footsteps

Prince George is following in Prince William and Princess Kate’s footsteps as his passion for sports grows.

The young royal plays multiple different sports and also enjoys watching sporting competitions and matches
Royal commentator Claudia Joseph said Prince George is flourishing at sports due to the importance his parents have placed on their children spending time outdoors.

Joseph said: “Both William and Kate come from sporty families and are naturally competitive, so it is no surprise that George is turning into a real action man.

He learnt to swim in the Buckingham Palace pool, plays tennis at the family home Anmer Hall, and is a budding triathlete, turning his hand to the swim-cycle-run event at his primary school Lambrook School, in Berkshire.

“William and Kate have made no secret of the fact that they believe that children should be brought up spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors, walking, gardening, playing with pets and taking part in sports.”

In his new book, Mike Tindall revealed Prince George’s obsession with football.
The young royal’s uncle wrote in The Good, The Bad & The Rugby: Unleashed that Prince George is always watching the sport.

He said regarding the prince second in line to the throne: “Wherever he is, he’ll sit down and watch that game.”
Prince George most recently attended England’s Euro 2024 final football match against Spain in the summer alongside Prince William.

He was also pictured at the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium with the Prince of Wales in May 2024.

Prince William is a passionate football fan and regularly attends Aston Villa games in Birmingham.

The heir to the throne was pictured cheering on Aston Villa against Bayern Munch in the Champions League last month.

Prince William has built a strong relationship with previous England managers in his role with the FA.
The Prince of Wales was first appointed President of the FA in 2005 and held the position for almost 20 years.

The royal decided to step back from the role this summer in order to focus on new roles and responsibilities in Wales and as Duke of Cornwall.
