Real Reason Meghan Markle have to bow to Kate Middleton’s children George and Charlotte laid bare

Meghan Markle married into the Royal Family in May 2018.
Before meeting the Prince she was an actress, but she gave up her career to move to the UK and live with her partner.

Now Meghan is a working royal, representing the Queen in various public capacities.
She and Prince Harry recently attended the Lion King premiere to represent the Royal Family’s interests on the global stage.
She and Prince Harry had their first child, a boy, Archie Harrison, just a few months ago.

Little Archie is seventh in line for the British Throne, after his father the Duke of Sussex.

Meghan, as a royal spouse, is not inline to the British throne as she is not related by blood to the Queen.

Does this mean that Meghan Markle must defer to Prince George of Cambridge and Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, despite them being her niece and nephew?

There was some uproar when Princess Charlotte turned for this year, as some felt Meghan and Harry’s Instagram message for the little girl was disrespectful because it did not use her full title.
Meghan and Harry wrote: “Happy Birthday, Charlotte! Lots of love, H and M.”

Today, on George’s birthday, they left the message: “Happy Birthday! Wishing you a very special day and lots of love.”

However, there were still complaints about the message the Sussex’s had chosen.

One commenter wrote: “He is HRH Prince George to you! Don’t forget to mention!”

Another said: “HRH Prince George, the future king. Remember that!!!”

But is it essential that Meghan show’s deference to Prince George and Princess Charlotte? Must she call them by their full titles and bow to them?

The Royal Butler previously told Express.co.uk that only those without the HRH styling must bow. Speaking about Harry’s son Archie Harrison and any future children the Duke may have he said: “If the Queen allows them to be styled HRH then they will not need to bow to their royal cousins, however, if the Queen doesn’t, then they will be expected to bow or curtsy to princes George, Louis and Princess Charlotte.”

Archie will have to bow to his cousins as he does not have an HRH status. He is simply Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Meghan however is an HRH, official Her Royal Highness Meghan Duchess of Sussex.
When it comes to using titles, it is unlikely using full stylings with the family itself is the norm. While sticklers for tradition in many ways, the Royal Family often refer to each other by their first names of “Auntie”, “Uncle” etc like any British family.

How has Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship changed since baby Archie was born?

Lucy Beresford is a psychotherapist, TEDx speaker, social commentator and author, says marital tension following a baby is common.

She said: “The biggest problem for new parents is making time for intimacy, not only sex but stroking, a hug, cuddling and all that kind of thing, because a baby is a 24/7 project and not only is there a lot to do and lots of new things to adapt to – but you are completely exhausted and suffering with sleep deprivation.

“When you are sleep deprived, your capacity to deal with the little grievances in life, to rise above and such is really compromised, which can in turn prove damaging to a couple’s relationship.”

Shortly after his son’s birth, Prince Harry told the media: “It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined.

“How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we’re both absolutely thrilled.
“We’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there, it’s been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody.

Historians are still arguing about Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George III.
