Kate ‘fed up with weird royal plans’ as princess set for ‘rival party’ with…

Princess Kate is fed up with a “weird” Royal Family Christmas tradition, according to a source.

The insider claimed that the Princess of Wales is considering arranging a “rival” party with the Middleton family
The Prince and Princess of Wales are planning to host a celebration at their home on the Sandringham estate, Anmer Hall with Carole and Michael Middleton to be in attendance.

The couple may benefit from sharing a glimpse of their party on social media, an insider has said.

The source claimed: “A little social media of the family eating chocolate and watching TV would be a very effective way of showing how normal Christmas is at Anmer Hall compared to what we hear about at Sandringham.”

They added: (William is) enthusiastic about embracing Kate‘s much more normal conception of Christmas.
“It’s always been a slightly covert, rival Christmas party at their house, but it’s going to be much more obvious this year.”

Kate and William’s desire to have a more low-key celebration with the Middletons could be motivated by the potential branding benefits, according to a different royal source.

A communications executive told the Daily Beast: “William and Kate have made an incredibly successful brand out of being normal and boring, but the crazy royal customs at Christmas threaten all that.

“It’s not surprising they want to change the narrative as they prepare to take the throne themselves.”
One royal custom in particular is said to annoy the Princess of Wales.

The royals tend to give gifts on Christmas Eve, rather than Christmas Day, which is unusual in England.

A friend of William and Kate’s told The Daily Beast: “Kate has always found the presents on Christmas Eve thing weird.
“It is definitely going to be got rid of when they are officially running things.

“I imagine it will continue this year at Sandringham in some shape or form but everything is going to be much more relaxed and have a middle-class flavor at Anmer Hall.

“You can bet your bottom dollar they will be doing proper presents for each other and the kids there on Christmas Day.
