Mike Tindall has revealed Prince George is following in Prince William’s footsteps with his football obsession.
The young royal’s uncle wrote in his new book that Prince George is always watching the sport.
He said regarding the prince second in line to the throne: “Wherever he is, he’ll sit down and watch that game.”
Prince George most recently attended England’s Euro 2024 final football match against Spain in the summer alongside Prince William.
Earlier this month, Prince William released a statement on social media welcoming former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel as the new England manager.
The Prince of Wales wrote: “Exciting times for @England, with a generation of talented players and a new manager taking the reins.
“Thomas, wishing you the best of luck, we’re all behind you! W”.
Prince William has built a strong relationship with previous England managers.
The Prince of Wales paid a touching tribute to Gareth Southgate in July, after it was confirmed he had stepped down as the Three Lions’ manager after eight years in charge.
The royal wrote: “Gareth, I want to thank you – not as the President of the @FA, but as an @England fan.
“Thank you for creating a team that stands shoulder to shoulder with the world’s finest in 2024.
“Thank you for showing humility, compassion, and true leadership under the most intense pressure and scrutiny.
And thank you for being an all-round class act. You should be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. W.”
Just over a week later, Prince William announced he was stepping down as President of the FA.
The Prince of Wales was first appointed President of the FA in 2005 and held the position for almost 20 years.
The royal’s decision to step back from the role was motivated by his greater focus on new roles and responsibilities in Wales and as Duke of Cornwall.
