Charlotte of nothing: Princess Charlotte set to lose access to her royal title after…

Princess Charlotte could be set to lose access to the title that she was born with due to certain rules around the line of succession, it has been claimed.

According to royal commentators, this could happen once her father Prince William becomes monarch.

Although she may lose the title she was born with, the nine-year-old royal could take on another title once William takes the throne.

Celebrity broadcaster OSSA previously explained that Charlotte’s “future will only change dramatically when her father succeeds in becoming grandfather as King”.

The channel also reported: “When that happens life as Charlotte knows it will look very different, in fact, there is a good chance she’ll lose her titles when her dad is on the throne. By the time William is King of England, his eldest son George will be Prince of Wales.

They clarified that would make the young royal “Charlotte of nothing”.

Explaining further, they added that, once Prince George becomes Prince of Wales, Charlotte won’t be able to take the title of Princess of Wales.

The channel added: “Her right to be Princess of Wales flies out the window when her brother gets the official title of Prince of Wales because a Royal lady can only be a princess if she’s married to a Prince or the daughter of a Prince.
“As George’s sister, Charlotte doesn’t fit either category.

After Prince William became Prince of Wales in 2022, she became Princess Charlotte of Wales.

Explaining a potential title for Charlotte, she has been described as the “next Princess Anne” and could be known as Princess Royal.

As OSSA explained: “Princess Royal is a special title held by the eldest daughter of the reigning monarch which is currently Princess Anne.”

Charlotte can only take on this title under two circumstances – Prince William is monarch and when Princess Anne is no longer alive.
