Kate and William’s social media message amid Harry’s UK return ‘stirred the pot

Princess Kate and Prince William’s monthly social media rewind “stirred the pot” over its timing, as it was released just hours before Prince Harry’s appearance at the WellChild Awards in London, according to a royal insider.

The post, which typically recaps the previous month’s activities, was shared on Monday afternoon, shortly before Harry’s event began
This scheduling has raised questions about whether it was an intentional move to overshadow Harry’s charity commitment or merely a coincidence.

Friends of Prince William have reportedly denied any deliberate attempt to eclipse his brother’s event.

However, some royal insiders suggest the timing may have inadvertently highlighted the differences in the brothers’ working lives and public roles.
The Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media accounts typically release their monthly rewind on the first day of the following month.

However, Monday’s post on the final day of September, appeared at 2:39pm just over an hour before the WellChild Awards began streaming online at 3:57pm.

The rewind highlighted Princess Kate’s cancer recovery announcement, Prince William’s Earthshot prize activities, Kate’s private ballet visit, and an art exhibition supporting the homeless.

In contrast, Prince Harry’s WellChild Awards appearance is one of his most significant remaining UK charity commitment.

A friend of Prince William told The Daily Beast: “It’s the end of the month and at the end of the month they do release the rewind.

“I’m sure the time of day they did it had nothing to do with Harry.”

A royal insider offered a different perspective, suggesting the timing was deliberate: “It’s the age old weaponisation of scheduling.

The different principals were always supposed to try—but often failed—not to schedule high-profile events for the same day to avoid knocking each other off the front pages.”

They added: “I certainly wouldn’t buy anyone saying it just happened to be posted so late in the day by accident.
“A monthly rewind could equally well have gone out the next day, or earlier in the day.”
