Palace shuts down Sarah Ferguson’s return to royal fold with brutal seven-word remark

Sarah Ferguson’s speculated return to the royal fold has been shut down by a brutal seven-word remark, it has been reported.

Despite Sarah’s recent comments about her closeness to the late Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles, and her recent invitations to family events such as Christmas, royal author Craig Brown disagreed that she is truly being brought back in the royal fold.

As reported by Sky News, he said in a simple seven-word statement: “She’s not the King’s kind of person.”

Also blasting Sarah, he claimed that she is using the late Queen’s corgis to “increase her own celebrity”. Sarah and Prince Andrew have been the co-owners of Muick and Sandy since the late Queen’s death in 2022.

Mr Brown is the author of ‘A Voyage Around the Queen’, which combines biography, essays, cultural history, dream diaries, travelogue and satire to reveal a new side to the iconic monarch.

Since officially divorcing Andrew in 1996, Sarah has appeared less frequently at royal events – but has seemingly appeared at more during King Charles’s reign.
Last year, she made her first Christmas appearance with the Royal Family in over 30 years.

The 64-year-old also later attended King Constantine of Greece’s memorial service at St George’s Chapel in February 2024.

Her appearance during the Easter Sunday service this year also sparked speculation of a royal return, with many fans taking to social media to express their opinions.

One fan wrote: “I think we’re going to have to assume that Fergie is here to stay, which goes to show how little the UK royals care about public opinion.”

Another added: “Fergie’s back in the fold, joining the Royal Family for their Sandringham Christmas last year, and now Easter in Windsor.”

Her surprise appearance has also been defended by fans, with one writing: “The woman is allowed to go to church, how petty some people are. Andrew is still a family member and Fergie is the mother of his daughters, so she is family also. Easter Day Service and other holidays are not for working royals… The Windsor family is invited to family outings.
