Prince Louis’s cheeky seven-word demand after watching Prince George

Prince Louis attended his first ever royal engagement in 2023, with his family and was heard making a demand to follow his older brother.

The engagement took place when the royals took part in the Big Help Out in Slough. At the event, the 3rd Upton Scouts Hut received help from Prince Louis himself who helped with painting, resetting a path and pushing a wheelbarrow around with help from Princess Kate.

Prince George operated a digger with the help of his father, Prince William. The young royal had seen his older brother, Prince George having a go on the digger and told Princess Kate: “I want to go in with him.

Following his hard work, Louis was rewarded with toasted marshmallows made into s’mores. He licked the marshmallow off his fingers before getting started on the treat. And in the background, William could be heard joking, “You won’t hear a peep out of him now”, which got the crowd laughing.

As Princess Kate encouraged Louis to get rid of his stick, Kate revealed her sweet nickname for her youngest. “Pop that on the fire Lou-bugs,” she told him.

The royals also had a go at archery while they were there when Princess Charlotte knocked her brothers out of the park with an instant bullseye. Louis also successfully hit the target with some encouragement from his mum.

Scout leader Simon Carter later told HELLO! that the family had driven themselves to Slough and noted: “[Prince Louis] was really excited. They all got presented with a Big Help Out badge at the end, so they all got a Scouts scarf… He was the one who ran away with the wheelbarrow. He was the one who was digging sand and getting stuck in and doing things.”

It was by no means the only time Louis shone during the Coronation celebrations. At the Westminster Abbey service itself, he won further adoration, yawning, fidgeting, and staring up at the ceiling during the ceremony, before singing ‘’God Save The King’ with his family.
