Prince William Has ‘Strong’ Bond With James Middleton to ‘Heal Hole in His Heart’ From Fractured…

James Middleton, 37, has become a royal talking point lately thanks to his “touching” new book Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life. But Kate, Princess of Wales,’ 42, brother is also reportedly helping “heal” the damage Prince Harry, 40, caused when he “betrayed” Prince William, 42, by publishing his “incendiary” memoir Spare.

This news led royal biographer Claudia Josephs to tell a publication, “I imagine that William finds it a huge solace that he is so close to the Middleton family as his relationship with his own brother Harry has become so fractured.”

She added, “From the moment that he began dating Kate at St Andrew’s University, he fell in love with her close family, something he tragically lost with the divorce of his own parents and the death of his mother. He has even jokingly called Michael Middleton ‘Dad’ and definitely enjoys their close relationship.”

The future king is said to be close to his real dad, the reigning King Charles III, but reports over the years have shown that, just like with Harry, William has sometimes “struggled” to connect to his father. The King was “always work-obsessed, even after Diana died, he only canceled roughly a week’s worth of engagements,” a royal insider once claimed. “There was also the Camilla issue, even though William was far more accepting of her than Harry ever was.”

James’ new book explores the loving relationship he shared with his dog, Ella, who passed away in his arms in 2023. In addition to sharing how canine companionship “saved his life” and can help heal some of the darkest moments of depression, the book also touches on his future queen sister and the prince who “stole her heart” way back in 2001.

As for his specific thoughts on the brother-in-law, he will one-day call king, James penned, “William has been in our lives for so long and we’ve grown very fond of him. He feels like our older brother and he and Catherine are so clearly a good fit, just right for each other. As we digest the news, I know I haven’t yet experienced the love they feel for each other myself, but I’m hoping one day I will.”

Reflecting on the next king and queen’s 23-year-long partnership, the Middleton middle child lovingly wrote, “I thought how lucky William was to be marrying my capable, down-to-earth big sister, and I felt absolutely reassured that they were in love. It was beautiful to see how he brought out her confidence. She’d blossomed. I knew he’d look after her, and he does to this day.”
