Royal author Angela Levin has blasted critics of Princess Kate after her emotional video explaining she has ended her chemotherapy received a backlash.
In the video Kate and William were shown playing with their children in various outdoor settings, offering a glimpse into their family life.
The princess expressed her determination to stay cancer-free and her appreciation for life as she enters a new phase of recovery.
However, the intimate nature of the video has drawn some criticism from royal experts and insiders, igniting a debate about the appropriate style for royal communications.
Some unnamed royal insiders have criticised the style of Kate’s video announcement. One source told GB News: “There’s no coincidence that the Middletons appear in it and not the King and Queen.
“I can assure you that Charles and Camilla will not be filmed kissing each other on a beach [as William and Catherine were] until hell freezes over. It’s distinctly unregal.
GB News understands King Charles and Queen Camilla think the announcement is “wonderful news” and will continue to offer love, thoughts and support to the Princess of Wales during her path to full recovery.
The comments have left former royal biographer Angela Levin fuming and fearing there is “a campaign” against the future Queen.
Speaking to Nana Akua on GB News she said: “I thought it was delightful. I think there is a campaign against her.
“I don’t know why. And I think that it’s appalling and I think she’s behaved so graciously.”
Levin further commended the family dynamic shown in the video: “It’s lovely to see a family who really love each other and play.
“You can tell with children, they’re not going to pretend that they’re having a lovely time. But they enjoyed themselves outside in nature.”
Despite the mixed reactions, Princess Kate’s video has successfully conveyed her message of recovery and gratitude.
The Princess of Wales confirmed that she will return to work soon, planning to undertake several engagements between now and the end of the year.
Kate emphasised that her priority is to “stay cancer free” as she continues her recovery.
She stated: “Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus.
“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.
