While their choices are surprising, Raducanu did not have to think much to take Alcaraz’s name. “The way the last year’s gone, I will have to say Carlos Alcaraz. He is playing very good tennis.” Raducanu’s response delighted her followers fueling the speculation of a romantic relationship between her and the Wimbledon champion.
It all started when Raducanu attended Alcaraz’s 2024 Wimbledon finals against Novak Djokovic. Spotting her in the gallery, many people thought this might be the beginning of another tennis love story. However, Alcaraz nullified the speculation mentioning that the Briton might have attended the match because it happened in her home town.
“I don’t know. I guess a lot of people came to see the final. Novak and I we always play a spectacular match, it’s a beautiful match to see. And she is from here, so I imagine that she wanted to come and see it. If there was a Grand Slam in Murcia, I would watch the finals 100 per cent.
