Real reason’ Princess Kate and Prince William will never move into Frogmore Cottage
Prince William and Princess Kate may be moving into a new royal property, but it’s unlikely to be Meghan and Harry’s former abode, Frogmore Cottage.
The Princess of Wales, it’s been reported, is unlikely to move into any location that was designed by Meghan Markle and nor is Prince William.
The future King and Queen may be moving residence as Prince Andrew, who is refusing to leave, may be evicted from the Royal Lodge by King Charles.
An expert believes Princess Kate is more likely to move into the Lodge than Frogmore Cottage, given the rift with the Sussexes who now permanently live in California.
GB News reporter Anne Diamond spoke with former royal reporter Michael Cole, saying it wasn’t just Prince Andrew being stubborn with location and said Kate would “not move somewhere redesigned by Meghan Markle”.
Ms Diamond said: “It’s a huge place. But if it was redone by Meghan and Harry, I can’t imagine Kate wanting to move into a place that was designed and redone by Meghan and not William either.
“Because other stories around today are saying that William has made it very clear to his friends that when his time comes for his coronation, he will not be inviting Harry.”
The news comes after King Charles reportedly took Prince Andrew’s Royal Lodge security detail away. A palace insider told The Sun: “Everyone is speculating this means the Duke will have to leave the Royal Lodge, because what other reason could there be to take his security away? It isn’t a secret that the King wants him out.
Andrew has been living in the 30-room mansion since 2004, which was left to him when the Queen Mother passed away in 2002.
He doesn’t own the building, but his name is on the lease with the “landlord” the Crown Estate.
Despite the eviction, the Duke of York has still been invited to the Balmoral estate as per royal tradition in the summer. His daughters Princess Eugenie, Beatrice and their mother Sarah Ferguson are expected to attend.
