Princess Kate ‘dominating in the US’ in fresh blow to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Princess Kate is dominating conversations in the US as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have failed to make their mark in Los Angeles, a source has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to California in 2020, the same year they stepped down as working members of the Royal Family.

Despite living in Montecito for nearly five years, the couple have “dropped out of the conversations” in the US, a friend and adviser to the Royal Family has said.

The source told The Times: “What they haven’t been able to do is create a public presence that’s respected and popular
I was in LA recently and was struck by how they’re not the topic of conversation.

“Everyone wanted to know about the King and Kate’s health. Harry and Meghan have dropped out of the conversation.”
Princess Kate had major abdominal surgery in January and spent two weeks recovering in the London Clinic hospital.
In March, the Princess of Wales confirmed in a public video message that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Kate added that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment.
The Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnosis came just one month after it was confirmed that King Charles had a form of cancer.

The monarch stepped away from public duties for a short period but returned to undertaking royal engagements in late April.

Prince Harry has not seen his father since February 2024, when he rushed back to the UK to see King Charles following the cancer diagnosis.

Harry spent 45 minutes with the monarch at Clarence House in London before returning to California the next day.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not on speaking terms with the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The Duke of Sussex last saw Princess Kate at King Charles’s Coronation in May 2023.
