According to Omid Scobie’s controversial book, “Endgame,” Kate Middleton jokingly shivers whenMeghan Markle’s name is mentioned, portraying a strained relationship between the two.
Scobie claims there has been minimal direct communication between Middleton and Markle since late 2019, well before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially left Britain in 2020
The book suggests that Middleton sees no possibility of reconciliation in the breakdown of her relationship with Harry and Markle.
Despite being caught up in the fallout of Prince William and Harry’s deteriorating relationship, Middleton allegedly did not support Markle when she joined the royal family.
Scobie asserts that Middleton, in an effort to emulate the late Queen Elizabeth, underwent elocution lessons.
The book also delves into the contested story of who made whom cry over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress, with reports conflicting on whether it was Markle or Middleton.
Not a fan of Meghan
He cites sources stating that Middleton can be cold if she doesn’t like someone and was “never a fan” of Markle.
Additionally, the book claims Middleton insisted on the “recollections may vary” line in a royal statement following the Sussexes’ allegations of racism within the family during their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
She was close to Harry, and she will always look back fondly on those moments and the relationship he had with their children, but to her there is no way she could ever trust them after all their interviews,” a source said in the book.
The revelations in the book are likely to complicate any efforts at reconciliation between the royal family and Prince Harry and Meghan.
