Royal Family LIVE: Harry and Meghan’s royal reconciliation plans revealed with key move

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle showed no signs of wanting to “mend the rift” with the Royal Family during their latest interview, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared on CBS’ Sunday Morning, where they announced their new project – The Parents Network – which aims to tackle child safety online and connect families who have lost their children to suicide due to a lack of safeguarding online.

During the interview, Meghan revealed she “only scratched the surface” of speaking about her mental health in her now-infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and added she hopes “being open” about her own suicidal thoughts and “online bullying” can “save others”. A clip of the Oprah interview was played during the Sussexe’s latest interview.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, the decision to include a clip from their infamous interview is a “clear sign” the couple have no plans to mend their ongoing rift with the royals anytime soon.

He told the Sun: “The way they are using a clip from an interview which did so much harm to the Royal Family. If you want a relationship of any sort and you give interviews of this sort that bring up memories that will undoubtedly damage the institution, clearly you won’t get it. It doesn’t look like either of them want to bridge that gap or mend that rift.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘burning bridges’ drove children’s legacy ‘six feet under’
“In a revealing interview on CBS News Sunday Morning, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry highlighted a critical issue plaguing our digital age: the devastating effects of cyberbullying.

The Sussexes, in conversation with Jane Pauley, shared their personal struggles and the motivations behind their advocacy for online safety.
The couple’s efforts, driven by their role as parents to Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, are commendable and resonate deeply in a world smothered by social media.

Meghan also spoke about not being believed when she felt suicidal at the height of the couple’s association with the Royal Family.

However, as the Sussexes navigate their own path of public service away from the Firm, it is becoming increasingly clear that a period of quiet reflection and cooperation with the royals is necessary.”

Prince William and Princess Kate’s modern parenting style sets a new Royal standard
Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales have adopted “a very different way of bringing up” their children, according to a Royal expert, marking a significant departure from traditional Royal upbringing.

Jennie Bond, the former BBC Royal correspondent, revealed to OK! that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s modern parenting style makes them “far more relatable, and far more ‘normal'” compared to other members of the Royal family.

She expressed: “It’s all very well to repeat the royal mantra that ‘duty’ is paramount. But if you ask any ‘ordinary’ folk about their priorities. I have absolutely no doubt that almost 100% would say family. Family is what counts beyond anything.

Meghan Markle ‘not cut out for service life’ and ‘driving force is to capitalise on fame’
Despite stepping back from Royal duties four years ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have remained incredibly active.

This year has seen a flurry of activities for them, including the revival of Prince Harry’s Invictus Games, the unveiling of Meghan’s lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, and a tour of Nigeria.

However, despite their busy schedule, which includes celebrating Meghan’s birthday on Sunday, August 4, there is a distinct difference in the type of work they undertake. One Royal expert suggests that Meghan may not be entirely suited to a life of service, reports the Mirror.
