Queen Camilla takes critical action against Prince William over disrespectful act

Royal insiders say that a surprising member of the Royal Family has managed to keep the relationship smooth between King Charles and Prince William – Queen Camilla.

It has been reported Her Majesty reportedly keeps William in check with subtle reminders, author Robert Jobson writes in his new book, ‘Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography’.

The Queen would often subtly remind William of the hierarchy when she felt he wasn’t respecting his father. In one instance, the author claims how William and Kate had once asked to join Charles and Camilla’s security convoy leaving Windsor Castle – but the younger royals kept the older couple waiting.

In what the author calls a “subtle” jab at William, Camilla told Charles to leave the then Cambridges behind.
Robert wrote: “When Charles was kept waiting several minutes for the couple, Camilla insisted they go without them. As William and Catherine emerged, all they could see were the blue flashing lights of the motorbikes disappearing in the distance.

But with their spouses, Charles and Kate, both receiving cancer diagnoses earlier this year, Camilla and William have both found themselves in a tough situation.

Former BBC royal correspondent, Jennie Bond, told OK! Magazine the pair have been brought closer together because of the circumstances. She said: “They have been left, almost literally, nursing the crown while the King and the Princess recover.

She added: “When the late Queen died, William spoke of how she had been at his side at ‘the happiest moments’ and ‘saddest days of his life’. Now, Camilla is sharing some of those times with him and it must surely cement their relationship.”

Reflecting on what life is like for someone in the Firm, Jennie added: “There are so very few people that a senior royal can trust absolutely… and Camilla must now be one of that number for William. And I’m sure it is a two-way street with William offering moral support to Camilla as well.

It is claimed Prince William and Prince Harry did not have a typical familial relationship with Camilla, even after she technically became their stepmother as they tied the knot on April 9, 2005, in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall.

Despite initial hesitancy with Camilla and Charles’s relationship, Prince William and Prince Harry eventually came to accept the now-Queen Camilla as part of their father’s life, as claimed in Omid Scobie’s book, ‘Endgame’, as he called Camilla an “anchor” for the King.

Following from King Charles’s cancer diagnosis, Queen Camilla has proven to critics she has “stepped up” to royal duties when required.

The Commonwealth Day service on March 23 this year, also demonstrated this and showed a day of unity for the Royal Family as the Firm gathered in Westminster Abbey for the annual celebrations.

Not only this, but William and Camilla appeared to put royal stresses behind them as they stood side by side and shared an intimate conversation at the event. Lifting the lid on the pair’s engagement, body language expert, Darren Stanton, on behalf of Betfair Slingo, believed the two royals were developing a “mutual respect” towards each other.

He said: “Over the years, William and Camilla have definitely developed a mutual respect and a close bond. It’s clear from the way they look and interact between each other that there is a deep respect between them. She cares for William deeply and he cares for her.
