Harry deserve better: Meghan Markle makes bold confession about William and Kate after visiting their…
Meghan Markle thought Prince Harry “deserved more materially” after visiting Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales’s apartment, a royal author has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent the early months of their life together in the UK in Nottingham Cottage, one of the smallest properties on the Kensington Palace estate.
The two-bedroom, one-bathroom home paled in comparison to Kate and William’s spacious 20-room Apartment 1A, formerly the home of Princess Margaret.
In his new biography of the Princess of Wales, author Robert Jobson claimed: “It is understood that when Meghan and Harry had gone round to have drinks at William and Catherine’s apartment, while they were still living at Nottingham Cottage opposite, Meghan had been ‘taken aback’ at the disparity between the brothers.
I am not saying Meghan was jealous, but she was really surprised how lavishly Harry’s brother was living compared to where they were living,’ said a close source. ‘It was perhaps the beginning of all the tensions between the two couples.
Harry’s friend sends ‘inappropriate’ warning to King over security row
Prince Harry reportedly feels that his dad, King Charles, is withholding automatic police protection in the UK to “control” him, as per a report from The Daily Beast.
The US-based news outlet suggests Harry sees the refusal as ignoring the “very real threat” he and his family face when in Britain.
An insider claimed to The Daily Beast that Prince Harry pins the lack of enhanced police protection squarely on King Charles, stating: “If the king wanted, he could do this for his son.”
Yet, sources from Buckingham Palace have countered to the publication, asserting it would be entirely out of order for King Charles to interfere with the government committee, known as the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC), responsible for Royal security decisions.
Harry ‘desperate’ to find a way back into the fold but Charles is shutting him down
Prince Harry has reportedly been “desperate” to find a way back into the Royal Family, clinging to any “vulnerability” that could bridge the gap. Despite this, Royal insiders have dubbed his efforts unsuccessful.
Having stepped away from his Royal duties and relocated stateside in 2020, the Duke of Sussex’s relations with the family have been notably strained.
Yet, in the face of King Charles and the Princess of Wales’s cancer battles, there are whispers that Prince Harry may step up, even assuming some Royal responsibilities to support the family.
Nevertheless, a prominent Royal commentator has poured cold water on such prospects, asserting that the Palace has communicated decisively that a Royal return for Harry is off the table.
