Love in the air: Princess Kate Teasing Prince William Goes Viral

Prince William and Princess Kate celebrated 13 years of marriage earlier this year, with fans reflecting on their dynamic and highlights from their two-decade relationship
Though the couple have taken on a number of serious duties and responsibilities connected with the monarchy since their marriage—most notably becoming Prince and Princess of Wales in 2022—they have still shown they have a lighter side, too.

A new viral TikTok video has revealed some of the humorous moments where Kate has playfully teased her husband during official appearances, making him blush and smile or, in some cases, recoil in mock horror.

Uploaded to TikTok by user @kittywaless on July 21, a compilation of clips from the past 10 years has shown a number of instances where Kate has kept William on his toes, whether it be through trying adventurous local cuisine during royal tours or holding an exotic spider at a college visit.

One clip highlighted the moment Kate was offered the chance to try conch salad during a visit to the Bahamas with William to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Famously unadventurous with spice or his food, William politely declined. Kate took up the offer, cracking a joke at her husband’s expense, telling locals: “I’m a little bit more adventurous than William!”

Another clip showed the moment Kate asked to hold a tarantula spider during a visit to Northern Ireland with William in 2021.

“Please can I hold the tarantula?” the princess asked the manager of a mobile petting zoo during the visit. A surprised William looked at her with hesitation before encouraging her to “go on then!”

The couple were then photographed holding a snake, which William said the couple’s three children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis) wouldn’t believe they had done.

Captioned “He lives in fear of her,” the viral video has gained over 7.7 million views, more than 891,000 likes and over 600 comments so far, many of which have praised the couple’s dynamic.

“She’s always teasing him,” wrote one fan. “That’s how you keep a prince humble.”
Such a beautiful down to earth couple who clearly love and respect each other,” posted another, with a further comment reading: “He’s every bit the Royal child he was raised to be. Not in a bad way. Just funny to see how adventurous Kate is compared to him.”

William and Kate’s relationship has taken on added public interest so far this year as the princess stepped out of the public eye in January amid health challenges. It led to the announcement in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Kate made her first official public appearance of the year in June for the Trooping the Colour celebrations in London after releasing a positive update on her health. The princess said that, while still undergoing chemotherapy treatment, she hoped to make more appearances over the summer.
