Princess Kate and Prince William’s ‘top secret’ Heathrow Airport suite with 96 staff
Prince William and Princess Kate use a “top secret” private suite at Heathrow Airport when they go on holiday with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The royals have been spotted using the luxury lounge at the UK’s busiest airport in the past.
Visitors get VIP treatment from nearly 100 staff members for a cost of £3,300, reported OK! Magazine.
The indulgent lounge experience comes with a Michelin star menu and is often used by heads of state and celebrities.
So, what else does the exclusive suite have to offer?
Chauffeur service
It’s not known if Kate and William use the car service – what with their status and hefty team of security – but the VIP experience starts on your doorstep. A top-of-the-range chauffeured BMW will pick you up at your home or hotel and take you to a private entrance at the airport to ensure security, privacy and discretion – it’s so secret, we don’t know where it is!
Dedicated doormen
A doorman with top hat and tails will greet you upon arrival and send your luggage to be screened and safely stowed on the plane. Then you’ll be whisked away to a private lounge just for you.
The luxury lounge
William and Kate will feel right at home in a luxury lounge, with the stylish rooms feature artwork curated by Tanya Baxter Contemporary. Plus there’s a squishy sofa, luxe arm chairs and a formal dining table, a nice big telly and your own loo of course!
Forget your usual Pret sarnie or McDonald’s breakfast – Heathrow VIP cook up a seasonal menu designed by British Michelin starred chef Jason Atherton. Enjoy a light snack or go all out with a three-course dinner, washed down with a glass of champagne. Priya Malhotra, head of Heathrow VIP, told Business Insider: “You can order from the menu as much as you want. “You can even order the entire menu and drink me out of Dom – please do so, but I might be grumpy.”
Shop and skip security queues
Personal shoppers are on hand to help you buy designer bits and bobs in the terminals. Immigration and customs are sorted in the lounge and best of all, you get your own security lane which “takes about 30 seconds” to get through according to Malhotra. When it’s time to board, your private BMW will drive you to the plane – what a treat.
Providing you’re a first or business class ticket holder, you can splash out on the service for £2,750 (around £3,300 with VAT) one way.
