Touching revelation shows how Princess Kate takes Meghan as a sister before ridiculous move
A body language expert has given her verdict on touching photos of the Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle attending Wimbledon together in 2019 as the world waits to see whether Kate will attend the finals this weekend.
The strain between Kate, Princess of Wales, and Meghan Markle has been thoroughly documented since Princes Harry and William’s feud became public.
However, Kate and Meghan’s love for tennis brought them together in 2019 as they attended the Wimbledon Championship together and were snapped smiling in the Royal box to watch Serena Williams

Kate wore a green sheath dress with puff sleeves and gold buttons by Dolce & Gabbana, while Meghan wore a white button-down shirt tucked into a Hugo Boss ivory accordion skirt with a navy print.
Touching photos show that Meghan was shown as the “third sister” as she sat between Kate and her sister Pippa and therefore very much part of the family.
The sisters were spotted chatting and smiling with Kate making Meghan feel part of the family.
Body language expert Judi James told Fabulous that the seating arrangements meant that both “Kate and Pippa would be seen dancing their attention on Meghan who, in the middle seat, would look very much like the honoured sister-in-law, hosted by both.
She said: “For their denial appearance in 2019, Meghan was placed in a Middleton sandwich, sitting between Kate and her sister Pippa.
“As a public signal of intent, it seemed to imply that Meghan had cracked the sister group to be shown as the third sister and therefore very much part of the family.
However, in Meghan’s 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey the Duchess of Sussex gave an insight into what really went down behind the smiles as she and Kate sat at Wimbledon.
Oprah asked during the chat: “Was it what it looked like? You are two sisters-in-law out there in the world, getting to know each other. Was she helping you, embracing you into the family, helping you adjust?”
Meghan tellingly responded: “I think everyone welcomed me. When you say, ‘Was it what it looked like?’ my understanding and my experience of the past four years is, it’s nothing like what it looks like.
Body language expert Judi James believed Kate and Meghan’s smiles were already “forced” at Wimbledon in 2019 with the pair trying to put aside rumours of their “rift”.
She said: “Their body language signals looked polite but not endorsed by any signs of a relaxed fund or the kind of tie signs that hint at a deeper, more relaxed level of friendship.
“Their smiles looked forced and in many ways, they looked as though they had just met.
It is hoped that Princess Kate will be well enough to attend the finals at Wimbledon this weekend, however her attendance is still unclear.
It’s understood a decision will be made on the day as to whether the Princess of Wales will be able to attend, she is usually a regular at the tournament and there is one particular appearance with the Duchess of Sussex that remains in the minds of many.
