I didn’t have fun: Iga Swiatek makes bold admission about the current woes

Iga Swiatek was eliminated from Wimbledon. The Polish has not yet found a good pace on the grass and it must be said that this may weigh on her career.
The World No.1 explained in a press conference what she thinks she did wrong to lose in the third round: “The reservoir of my life force suddenly emptied and I was shocked.

I know what I did wrong after Roland Garros, I did not rest properly and I will not make the same mistake. After a very difficult season on clay, I have to recover and that may also be the reason.

I thought I could play at the same level, but I feel like on the grass I need a little more energy to be patient and accept my mistakes. Besides, I haven’t been up to it mentally here.

After Roland Garros, I need to recover better, physically and mentally.”

Iga Swiatek is out
While Iga Swiatek dominates the WTA tour on the other surfaces and especially on clay the green surface still resists her and we do not know if one day she will succeed in winning the championships: “If I were to play another Wimbledon tournament in two months, I might be better, more determined and more focused to fight for that title.

But it’s a year away, so I don’t know what’s going to happen until then. I am obviously determined for each tournament, but this part of the season is not easy because we are in the middle of the season and we change surface. Moving from playing my best tennis to fighting a little more is not easy. All this adds up to the fact that I didn’t have much fun at Wimbledon last year. If I recover better and come to the tournament with more energy, I think I can get through this.”
