John McEnroe told off for ‘revealing all the secrets’ of Raducanu and Murray on BBC

John McEnroe revealed “all the secrets” of Emma Raducanu and Andy Murray’s scheduling during a live BBC broadcast. The two British Grand Slam champions have formed a dream team and entered the Wimbledon mixed doubles draw.

The first round for the mixed doubles is due to take place on Friday and Saturday.
It could mean that Raducanu and Murray’s match will clash with England’s Euro 2024 quarter-final against Switzerland.

McEnroe is delighted that he gets to see the two superstars team up in what could be Murray’s final appearance at Wimbledon.

But he was told off my BBC presenter Isa Guha when he was discussing the order of play in SW19.

When does that start, the mixed doubles? I’ve got to put that down on the calendar,” McEnroe said.

Guha replied: “We don’t know when that starts.”

And McEnroe responded: “When Andy wants it to.”

But the American was told off for his amusing comment as the BBC presenter said: “Don’t reveal all the secrets here at The Championships.

Meanwhile, McEnroe also reminded viewers of how successful Murray has been throughout his career.

He said: “It has been an uphill battle for six or seven years for Andy. He has won everything possible.

“It used to be the Big Four. You don’t say that as often as you used to. People forget that he was right in the mix. He finished No.1 in the world in 2016.

Most athletes in any sports don’t go out the way they want to. Almost all of them. I’ll throw myself in the mix. I was it ended differently. I never retired, I just left ungraciously.

“That is cool, it’s unexpected that he’s feeling good enough to play doubles in mixed. Hopefully there is some fun involved.
